Noeleen Cleary from Concern visited the school in January. She spoke to the pupils from 4th - 6th Class about world hunger. She described the difficulties faced by people in developing countries such as Niger and Burundi; limited access to clean water, poor healthcare and lack of food. She also explained how climate change has a profound effect on world hunger. Extreme weather conditions in recent years have caused many crops to fail. Did you know that 831 million people worldwide are hungry? That's 1 out of 9 people. Noeleen's presentation was very informative and thought-provoking.
