On Thursday the 27th of October some of the boys from 3rd and 4th class braved the wet weather to take part in the Allianz Gaelic Football Participation Blitz in Bray Emmets. Despite the wet weather, the boys got stuck in to each and every game that they played. The boys from KPS displayed excellent team work as they encouraged one another and ensured that everyone was involved in the game. Everyone in the team showcased some excellent soloing and hand passing skills within each game and there were some very impressive kicks over the bar.
The KPS team played four matches in total against Holy Rosary, St.Brigid's, Gaeilscoil na gCloch Liath and Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh. The aim of the day was to ensure that everyone on the team had the opportunity to engage in matches where the focus was on playing their best and doing their school proud.
Thank you to our two young whistlers from 6th class (R. O’Brien and R. O’Brien) who also came on the day to help out with the smooth running of each game.
Well done to all of the boys involved. They did themselves and their school proud with their comradery and perseverance. It was great to see each team member enjoy the day.
