Another November draws to a close. We reflect on a busy term as we prepare for Christmas, rehearse Christmas plays and practise carols for our Carol Service on December 9th at 7.30pm and for our visits to our friends in Kilcoole Lodge Nursing Home in the coming weeks.
We congratulate all the pupils in 2nd, 4th and 6th classes who did so well in their speech and drama exams.
We celebrate our young musicians in 1st and 2nd who swept the boards singing ‘Ailiú Éanaí’ and ‘Cuirfimid Deandaí Deandaí’ under the expert tutelage of Ms. McGinn at the Kilcoole Music Festival this past weekend.
We were grateful for the break in the wet weather that enabled us to host Science Day outdoors again during Science Week. Thank you to all the visitors who came to support our young scientists.
We are grateful to all the visitors who came to speak to our pupils – Garda Molly who wisely warned pupils in the senior classes of the dangers of fireworks and bonfires at Halloween, Heritage in Schools specialists Patrick Hunt, Steve Mandel and John Whelan who shared their expertise with pupils in 1st, 4th and 5th classes.
Well done to our crochet club who are going from strength to strength with their creativity.
Ms.Leacy's pilot Forest School had some wonderful outdoor experiences. Maith sibh.
