Tá fáilte romhat chuig suíomh-gréasáin Bunscoil Chill Chomhghaill. You will find our school nestled between the Sugarloaf Mountain and the Irish Sea. Kilcoole Primary School was established in 2010 following the amalgamation of St. Anthony’s BNS and St. Brigid’s GNS. We are blessed with spacious grounds including a meditation garden, outdoor classroom and many zoned playing fields allowing our boys and girls the space to play safely. Our vision is to develop knowledge and character in every pupil empowering them to meet, with assured confidence, the challenges of life now and in the future. As a Christian community we aim to be a warm and welcoming place respectful and accommodating of diversity in race, culture, religion, gender and ability. We aim to promote equality and support pupils with special educational needs.
We are an integral part of the parish of Kilquade and, in partnership with parents and the Church, we aim to nurture the Catholic faith through religious education, preparation for the sacraments and through our school ethos. We are a learning community promoting, modelling and valuing lifelong learning. Parents are their children’s primary educators and we strive to empower and utilise parents to be actively involved in their child’s education and the life of our school.
We value our relationship with our local community and actively promote our pupils’ and their families’ involvement in their community.
We strive to provide a nurturing, positive, holistic learning experience for every pupil and commit our resources to challenging and empowering each other. At the heart of a growing rural community, our school is committed to developing each pupil to their full potential. Many extra-curricular activities, once catered for outside of school time ,are now offered to all pupils during the school day- these include drama, gaelic football, hurling, soccer, camogie, tin whistle, choir, dance, chess and bodhrán.
Our goal is to educate and empower our children developing a love of learning in their most formative years that will serve them for all of their lives. It is a challenge we relish.
