The 5th and 6th class boys played a nine-a-side non-competitive Gaelic football blitz in Bray Emmets on Thursday 26th of September. This was the first Allianz Cumann na mBunscol events for the boys this year. There was a fantastic turn out with 29 teams representing 17 different schools from across the North East of the county. The grounds were in immaculate condition and the warm dry weather contributed to the high level of football skills on show.
Kilcoole played four games in total losing the first two against Roundwood and Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath before turning their fortunes around by beating St. Patrick’s (Wicklow Town) and St. Brigid’s of Greystones. The games were evenly contested and played in the good spirit with Kilcoole showing great character and skill. The children really enjoyed their day out and are already looking forward to the next blitz!
